Recording of rain in a small town with some thunder, cars and birds. Plane passing by in the sky. Recorded with sound devices mix-pre-6 ii and two mxl 603s mogami custom mics in din stereo. Recorded in 192khz/32bit. Post editing with rx8: low/high cut with eq to reduce rumble and noise, also gain increased and cut to length. Converted to 320kbps/cbr mp3.

A pure recording of an early morning rainshower in the deep woods. Recorded on august 6th, 2013 at 6:30 in the morning. You will hear some birds singing as well -- despite the shower. Recording made with the zoom h4n recorder using the internal built-in microphones with the volume level at 80. You will note the gradual increase in rain intensity as the recording progresses. . .

The random rainstorm in the middle of winter may have flooded my apartment, but at least i got a nice recording out of it.

Rain in the evening in a calm suburb area. Taken from a window. Drops fall on a concrete and window-sill too. Window is on a ground floor. Taken by a special app recording to wav 44khz 16 bit mono wav file on a samsung s8500 wave with a special app that can record to looseless. The phone was put directly to the window pointing the mic outside the window. This is my first try to share some sound, hope you like it. I have 2 more and better rain sounds to come. There is no other sound than the rain itself. The files hasent been post-processed.

The quiet sound of rain pattering against metal with occasional car traffic in the background. Sunday church bells at approximately 5:36. No thunder. Recorded on a tascam dr-05x in feb 2021. Free to use in any other project.

Just a simple recording of some water flowing through a sewer drain. Some nice running water sfx that could be used as a positional sewer loop in a game, or as part of ambient bed.

Thunderstorm developed over pécel on 6th august 2014 and produced about 5-6 mms of rain with heavy rainfall (large raindrops). This only one-thunder thunderstorm was recorded by my sony stereo dictaphone.

Sounds of loud thunder, rain, and drops of water occasionally pinging off metal. Taken in an urban cityscape, surrounded by an apartment complex (yielding a bit of an echo).

23rd july 2016 thunderstorm in pécel, hungary. My sony icd-ux512 dictaphone was under an experimental place, under a tree branch. This storm produced 10 milimeters of rain.

A strong rainshower hitting an awning, with the gentle "shhhhhh. . . . " of the rain falling on the new, fresh green, pliable leaves of a sugar maple. Some good thunder as well in this recording. The soundscape of a thunderstorm that passed over berlin in 2012, recorded from my backyard window with a little earplug stereo mic that a friend once made for me - a dummy head. The heavy rain was followed by thunder, then transforms into softer rain that lets you hear faint city sounds like cars, doors closing, someone using a screwdriver, voices, the bells of a nearby church, airplanes and birds. There's so much to hear, i couldn't stop recording. I only took out some little peaks caused by the movement of my ear.

Zoom h1n recording from this morning's rainstorm in metro detroit. The original recording was from 5:02am to 7:26am, but due to a lot of secondary rain drops splashes hitting the recorder directly when the wind would shift i edited it down to 52 minutes after taking most of the knocks outs when i edited in movavi. Pretty steady rain for most of the track as you hear the hum from the morning commuters in their cars increase in the distant background. You'll hear some birds too throughout the track, mostly starlings i believe.

Recording of wind and rain in a storm in south uk, 28th oct 2013. Wind can be heard blowing through nearby woods and leaves rustling. Dripping of rain from the eves of the house. Mostly white noise hissing with volume rising and falling. Recorded using a canon d550 out the window/door. The files were edited to remove wind when it directly blows on the microphone.

Recorded with a roland r-05. I placed it under my pickup truck on a very rainy day. The sound of rainfall has a little bit of a metallic sound as the rain hits my truck. There is also a river-flowing kind of sound as this street floods in heavy rain, and the water runs from the street into a storm drain right beside my driveway. Various vehicles occasionally pass by.

Recorded from a sidewalk on state street in pendleton, indiana, this light rain storm is perfectly delightful. Listen as cars hiss past or wait for them to pass and just let the rain fall. Long enough to allow for editing and recorded in beautiful 48k stereo on a zoom h4n, this sound is quality and ready to help you paint your aural picture.

Severe thunderstorm arrived to pécel, hungary after the hot days on 8th of july 2015. It produced 15 mm of very intense rain and wind, and some lightning.

This was recorded during a storm on the road near to the station. Lots of rolling thunder, cars swooshing past through deep puddles. Local trains stopping and starting, express trains passing. People running for cover from the rain.

Mysterious crackling noise. Possibly rain, or turntable static, or crumpled plastic?! i didn't make notes when recording this, so i have no idea. :).
